Swimming is a wonderful skill for everyone and a great form of fitness. Adult swimming classes are designed for people of all abilities and of all ages, above 18 years of age. They a held in a relaxed environment where swimmers can learn at their own pace.
We offer three different classes for adults:
1. Adult Learn to Swim
These lessons provide you with the opportunity to learn to swim if you are a complete beginner or have limited swimming experience. It’s never too late to learn to swim and our friendly, patient instructors ensure that you feel safe and welcome so they can fully enjoy the experience of learning to swim as an adult.
2. Stroke Development
This class is for adultswho know how to swim but would like to improve or refine their strokes. As many of us have learnt to swim as children, we have often picked up bad habits over the years, or struggled with a stroke we may not have learnt the correct technique for originally.
3. Swim for Fit
These lessons are for adults who know how to swimand want to swim for fun and fitness. Swimmers in this class can swim all strokes but would like to know how to make their strokes efficient enough to develop their swimming fitness or compete in events.
Our Swim for Fit classes would suit an adult swimmer who may be having difficulty with their breathing technique, or would like to learn how to breathe on both sides (called bilateral breathing).
