Why we Use Visual Aids in Our Classes

10 May 2018

Many children learn visually, and we like to make full use of the technology we have available. Through our 40 plus years in aquatic education, we have developed a strong philosophy on how children best learn the skills to make them strong, safe and confident in the water.

Our philosophy on how children best learn the skills to make them strong, confident swimmers is based on the constant revision of already acquired skills in combination with introducing news skills, so the swimmer remains challenged and motivated. The use of visual aids allows our instructors to deliver our program with this philosophy in mind.

We have introduced the use of electronic devices such as tablets in our classes to engage swimmer’s learning. On these tablets are short skills videos to give swimmers additional perspective. We believe that by breaking the program down into bite sized pieces, children are better able to develop and master the skills required for them to become stronger, safer swimmers.
