Adults Learn to Swim Class

These adult swimming lessons provide swimmers with the opportunity to learn to swim. We cater for all abilities, so if you’re a complete beginner or just out of practice, State Swim has adult swimming lessons to suit you. It is never too late to learn to swim and our friendly, patient instructors ensure all participants feel safe and welcome so they can fully enjoy the experience of learning to swim as an adult.
Classes run for one hour and are mostly held early morning or evenings, ensuring privacy and an optimal learning environment. Adult Learn to Swim classes are a great way to develop stroke technique prior to joining our Adult Stroke Development level.
What Happens in an Adult Learn to Swim class?
- Introduction to correct breathing techniques
- Basic freestyle and backstroke kick
- Basic freestyle and backstroke arm stroke
- Learn freestyle and backstroke
- Survival backstroke
What Skills Will Swimmers Achieve?
When a swimmer completes Adults Learn to Swim, they will be able to swim:
- 25m of freestyle
- 25m backstroke
- 25m survival backstroke
